Team tournament

Class division

  • No division

Game model

  • A team consists of 4 players.
  • Substitution of a player is possible, but the substitute can't play in another team.
  • The teams can be either purely women teams, purely men teams or mixed by women and men.
  • Women will receive 5 pins in handicap in all games played in the tournament. The 5 pins handicap for women has also to be entered in the score system.
  • The full names of the team and the players have to be written on the score system.
  • All games will be played according to the European style.
  • There are no lane changes in a round.

Tournament

Thursday 20. 6. 2013 - qualification
The first day will take place an qualification (each team plays 3 squads) and the total number of points including handicap will divide teams into performance classes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). In the case of a tie the ranking will be determined by the total score without handicap, then by highest casting of the last (penultimate) game. And even if everything was equal, ranking according to the highest casting player in qualification will follow.
 
Friday 21. 6. 2013
Performance Class A-B:
  • Team will be divided according to the results of the qualification in performance classes A-B into 9 pools of 4 teams. The teams will play in 2 different venues, with 12 lanes (see below) and in the pools will play together (scoring system see below). Winner of the group goes to the Saturday's final. From each performance class A-B will then advance 3 teams like Lucky Loser - teams who placed on the 2nd place in the pools and get the most points - if teams have same points in the Friday pool then will advance the team with the most thrown pins incl. handicap.
Performance class C:
  • In this performance class teams will be divided into 6 pools of 4 teams. This tournament will take place in the bowling center Celnice with 8 lanes (see below). In the pool is same game system like in Class A-B (see above). From the pool advance 2 best teams (in total 12) which will have play-off match against each other for going to the best 6 teams in performance class D. The teams from 3rd place will play triple match against each other. 
Performance class D:
  • In this performance class teams will be divided into 6 pools of 3 teams. This tournament will take place in the bowling center Zizkov with 6 lanes (see below). Same game system like in Class A-B (see above).
Performance class E-G:
  • These performance classes will play in three different bowling centers, with 6 lanes (see below). In each venue will be 18 teams (6 teams in one squad) according the results from Thursday's qualification. Teams will play together in play-off system. All teams will play until final placement. Line-up will be prepared according the results from qualification. First round will be played as 1 squad against 1 competitive team, second round will be played by 3 winning teams against each other and 3 losing teams against each other. These teams will play 2 squads and the winner is the team with the highest summary of thrown pins incl. handicap.
 
Saturday 22. 6. 2013 – finals
Performance class A-B:
To final advance 12 teams of these classes, each class will have its own little final round. Teams will play 2 squads in play-off system, then the "superfinal" between 3 top teams. In both, play-off rounds and superfinal, the winner will be team with the most thrown pins incl. handicap.
Performance class C:
To final round which will take place in bowling center Celnice advance 8 top teams of Class C. Team will play 2 squads in play-off system, then final round and match of 3rd place in class C.
Performance class D:
To final round which will take place in bowling center Zizkov, advance 8 top teams of Class D. Teams will play triple match in two squads. From each triplematch will advance the best team and also better team from the second place. Then will “superfinal” between 3 top teams. 

Scoring system:

Qualification, final and superfinal will be ranked with the points (thrown pins) incl. handicap. Friday's rounds will be ranken by points (each player plays for 1 point against the opponent on the same position of the other team).

  2. Player 2 Team A - Player 2 Team B
  3. Player 3 Team A - Player 3 Team B
  4. Player 4 Team A - Player 4 Team B
For each victory in the number of points a team gets another 2 points. In case of equal, final number of points in the pool incl. handicap decides. And even if everything was equal, tie-break of one player against one opponent follows.
