1. A team consists of 4 players.
a) Substitution of a player is possible, but the substitute can't play in another team.
b) The teams can be either pure women teams, pure men teams or mixed by women

c) Women will receive 5 pins in handicap in all games played in the tournament.
d) The full names of the team and the players have to be written on the score system.
The 5 pins handicap for women has also to be entered in the score system.
2. All games will be played according to the European style.
a) Each player bowls 3 games in each round.
b) There are no lane changes in a round.
Tournament
1. The tournament is conducted over three days as follows:
Qualification (day 1 and 2)
The teams will (by a draw) be divided in pools of 3 or 4 teams.
The pool system remains unchanged during the two first days.
Each team will play one round on day 1 and one round on day 2.
Quarter final (day 3)
The winner of each pool and a number of runner up’s qualifies for the quarter final,
as many as a total of 56 teams divided in 14 pools of 4 teams, each playing one round.
Semi final (day 3)
The 14 pool winners and the two best runner up’s qualifies for the semi final,
in total 16 teams divided in 4 pools of 4 teams, each playing one round.
Final (day 3)
The 4 pool winners play a final in one pool over one round.
2. a) The team with the higher total pin fall in a match is the winner.
b) The teams are ranked in each pool based on pin fall, so that the team with the
highest pin fall is no. 1, the team with the second highest pin fall is no. 2 etc.

4 individual handicap classes covering handicap range 0 - 28.
General
1. The total number of competitors defines the number of golf courses needed.
Each competitor plays one complete round (=18 holes) per day.
2. Each competitor is guaranteed at least two rounds.
3. The daily number of competitors per 18 hole course should be limited to 100.
Scoring Classes
1. Gross scoring (women and men separately) neglecting individual handicaps.
2. Net scoring classes:
- Class A (e. g. handicap up to 9.0)
- Class B (e. g. handicap - 9.1 to -18.0)
- Class C (e. g. handicap -18.1 to -27.0)
- Class D (e. g. handicap -27.1 to -36.0)
In the net scoring classes the competitors are divided into 4 equally sized handicap
classes.
Rules
1. The final score is an accumulation of all daily scores.
2. Women and men are evaluated separately.
3. Prizes are awarded to the three best placed women and the three best placed men
in each scoring class. Individual double prizes are not permissible.
Prize winners in the gross scoring class are not eligible for prizes in their net scoring
classes.
4. For the team competition the best three net scores (women or men) of individual
company team players (multi-company teams are not allowed) are cumulated each day.
5. Unless otherwise specified, the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St.

6. Each competitor starts with his current handicap, which is confirmed immediately
prior to the tournament in writing by his club.

1. The tournament will be held under the ABC Pool/CUP system to
even out differences in strength between the participating teams.

2. The teams are ranked in each pool on points, so that the team with most points is
no. 1 and the next-best team is no. 2 etc.
* If two teams are tied, the games they have played together decide the result.
* If the teams are still tied, the team with the biggest difference in sets, then in
points, is the winner.
Playing time
1. Games are played to the best of 3 sets.
Break between sets - max. 5 minutes.
2. Each set is played up to 25 points.
At 24-all the 2 point lead rule will for time reasons NOT be applied.

1. Petanque is a sport in which:
a) 2 players play against 2 players - Doubles.
Each player uses three boules.
b) 3 players play against 3 players - Triples.
Each player uses two boules.
2. The game is played on any ground with dimensions 4 x 15 meter.
Variation down to 3 x 12 meter is allowable.

b) The double/triple is ranked in each pool on points, so that the double/triple with most

Game model
1. A team consists of 4 players.
a) Substitution of a player is possible, but the substitute can't play in another team.
b) The teams can be either pure women teams, pure men teams or mixed by women
and men.
c) Women will receive 5 pins in handicap in all games played in the tournament.
d) The full names of the team and the players have to be written on the score system.
The 5 pins handicap for women has also to be entered in the score system.
2. All games will be played according to the European style.
a) Each player bowls 3 games in each round.
b) There are no lane changes in a round.
Tournament
1. The tournament is conducted over three days as follows:
Qualification (day 1 and 2)
The teams will (by a draw) be divided in pools of 3 or 4 teams.
The pool system remains unchanged during the two first days.
Each team will play one round on day 1 and one round on day 2.
Quarter final (day 3)
The winner of each pool and a number of runner up’s qualifies for the quarter final,
as many as a total of 56 teams divided in 14 pools of 4 teams, each playing one round.
Semi final (day 3)
The 14 pool winners and the two best runner up’s qualifies for the semi final,
in total 16 teams divided in 4 pools of 4 teams, each playing one round.
Final (day 3)
The 4 pool winners play a final in one pool over one round.
2. a) The team with the higher total pin fall in a match is the winner.
b) The teams are ranked in each pool based on pin fall, so that the team with the
highest pin fall is no. 1, the team with the second highest pin fall is no. 2 etc.
